Epoxy Floor Coating That Bonds — and Stays Bonded

Most epoxy floor coating failures in Kelowna happen before the first coat is mixed — because the concrete wasn't properly diamond-ground. We profile every slab to the correct CSP, test for moisture, and repair cracks and spalling before a drop of material touches the floor. That's why our coatings last.

  • Proper diamond grinding on every job — never acid etch
  • Multiple systems: flake, metallic, solid colour, polyaspartic
  • Okanagan climate experience — hot summers, cold winters handled correctly
  • Commercial and residential — same crew, same standards
  • Clear quotes with no hidden materials or labour fees
  • Kelowna-local — we're here before, during, and after the job

How Epoxy Flooring Is Installed in Kelowna

01

Free On-Site Assessment

We visit, measure the space, check the slab for moisture and damage, and recommend the right system — not just the most expensive one.

02

Surface Preparation

Diamond grinding or shot-blasting opens the concrete profile to the correct CSP. Cracks and spalling get repaired. No prep shortcuts — this is where cheap jobs fail.

03

Epoxy Base Coat

We roll a two-part epoxy base at the correct mil thickness, filling the surface profile and creating a mechanical bond that lasts decades.

04

Flake Broadcast or Decorative Finish

Vinyl flake chips are broadcast to rejection, metallic pigments are manipulated, or solid colour coats are applied — depending on your chosen system.

05

Polyaspartic or Epoxy Topcoat

A UV-stable, chemical-resistant clear or tinted topcoat is applied, locking in the finish and delivering the gloss, sheen, or matte level you selected.

06

Cure & Walk-Through

We let the system cure fully, then walk you through the finished floor. You're using it in 24–72 hours. Polyaspartic jobs are often driveable the same day.

Epoxy Flooring Kelowna — FAQ

Questions About Epoxy Flooring in Kelowna

How much does epoxy flooring cost in Kelowna?+
Pricing depends on floor size, condition, and the system chosen. Chip epoxy floors, metallic designs, and multi-coat commercial systems each carry different costs. Call us for a free on-site quote — we measure the space and assess the concrete before giving you a number.
How long does it take to install epoxy flooring?+
A typical two-car garage takes one to two days for prep and coating, then 24–72 hours of cure time before light foot traffic. Polyaspartic systems cure faster — you're often back on the floor the same day. Larger commercial projects take longer depending on square footage.
Does epoxy flooring work in cold Kelowna winters?+
Yes — as long as the concrete is properly prepared and the coating is applied at the right temperature. We time our installs to avoid freezing conditions, and we use formulations suited to BC's Okanagan climate. Once cured, epoxy handles temperature swings very well.
Can you apply epoxy over existing concrete?+
Most of the time, yes. We grind the surface to open the concrete profile, repair cracks and spalling, and then apply the system. If the slab has serious moisture issues, heaving, or previous coatings that won't bond, we'll tell you upfront.
Is epoxy flooring slippery when wet?+
Smooth epoxy can be slippery. That's why we add anti-slip aggregate to topcoats, or use full-broadcast flake systems that naturally provide texture. We'll recommend the right finish based on your space and traffic.
What's the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?+
Epoxy is a two-part resin system that's been the industry standard for decades — very durable, great chemical resistance, slower cure. Polyaspartic is a newer generation coating that cures much faster, handles UV better (no yellowing), and can be applied in a wider temperature range. Many of our jobs use both: epoxy base, polyaspartic topcoat.
Do you serve areas outside Kelowna?+
Yes. We cover West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Vernon, and the surrounding Okanagan Valley. Call us to confirm coverage for your specific location.
How do I maintain an epoxy floor?+
Epoxy is low-maintenance. Sweep regularly, mop with a mild detergent, and avoid dragging sharp metal objects. Don't let harsh chemical spills sit too long. With normal care, your floor will look great for many years.
